Ingredients
 

  • 300g (10.5oz) - Pasta of Choice (Linguine, Fettuccine or Spaghetti)
  • 1 Tbsp (14g) - Unsalted Butter
  • 1 - Brown (Yellow Onion), Diced
  • 3 - Garlic Cloves, Grated
  • 2 - Spring Onions (Scallions), Thinly Sliced
  • ½ Cup (125ml) - Thickened Cream (35% Fat)
  • 1 Tbsp (20g) - Gochujang (Korean Spice Paste)
  • 1 tsp (10g) - Honey
  • 1 Tbsp (20ml) - Low Sodium Soy Sauce
  • Parmigiano Reggiano
  • Pasta Water
  • Salt & Cracked Black Pepper

Instructions

  • Cook pasta in salted boiling water for 1 minute less than the packet instructions and drain. Reserve about 3/4 cup of starchy pasta water.
  • In a pan over medium-high heat, add unsalted butter and sauté the brown onion for 3 minutes or until soft. Add garlic and saute for 1 minute.
  • Add cream, gochujang, honey and soy sauce and mix until smooth. Add in Parmigiano Reggiano to taste and season with salt and pepper.
  • Add the cooked and drained pasta and mix well to coat. Cook for 1 minute and adjust sauce consistency with reserved pasta water/
  • Finish with Parmesan (if using). Garnish with spring onions & sesame seeds.

Creamy Gochujang Spicy Pasta Storage Instructions

Let the pasta cool completely, then store it in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. The sauce may thicken slightly as it chills.

Creamy Gochujang Spicy Pasta Reheating Instructions

Stovetop (Best Method)

Add a splash of water, milk, or cream to a pan. Reheat the pasta over medium heat, stirring gently until hot and creamy.

Microwave

Add a spoonful of liquid, cover loosely, and heat in 30-second bursts, stirring in between, until hot.

Tip: Avoid overheating to prevent the sauce from splitting.
